Over the centuries, Rumeli Han has witnessed the passing of many famous families and artists’ lives. One of them, artist Sema Bicik, has renovated her flat in the building without touching its original structure and fabric. The atelier/home has hosted well-known musical artists, like Group Duman's "Aman Aman," Keremcem's "Bir Kalbim Var Benim" ve Özgün's "Biz Ayrıldık" music-videos. With its well-known name flat C46 has also hosted many avant-garde parties which marked Istanbul's night life. The artist shares her flat with her close friends for special events. Bicik has been opening C46 for special performances of young and talented artists from Turkey and abroad, boutique exhibitions, and press presentations of cinema, commercial and video films.

Rumeli Han's History:
Having been rented by the art world’s household names, Rumeli Han was built as a mansion for Sultan Abdulhamid’s chamberlain Ragip Pasha in 1878. The seals on the building’s bricks, which was built by the French and Italian architects, indicate that they were shipped from Marseilles. It is estimated that the wooden floors were imported from Africa. The seven-story building consists of 3 blocks, and each block has 21 apartments. There is also a shopping arcade at the entrance of Rumeli Han.
